Born in Brooklyn and raised on the bagels of Long Island, founder Mike Rabinowitz knows his way around a classic New York-style bagel. After retiring from his career as a chemist, he swapped lab coats for flour and set out to perfect the ultimate bagel recipe right here in San Diego.
Using the precision of his scientific background and his deep love for East Coast bagels, Mike’s creations are as close to New York authenticity as it gets. Think chewy, perfectly golden, with just the right amount of crust. It’s no wonder Marigold Bagels has already amassed a cult following in the region. Every good collab starts with mutual respect, and this one’s no different. Crack Shack Owner Mike Rosen and Culinary Director Jon Sloan (both native East Coasters) stumbled upon an article featuring Marigold Bagels and its passionate founder. Intrigued by the story and craving a taste of home, they found their way to Marigold Bagels and were instantly hooked.
It didn’t take long for sparks to fly. Three East Coast food purists with a love for quality carbs and culinary creativity? The Marigold x Crack Shack collaboration was hatched.
